In the previous post, we learned how to pre-cache songs in Vi Music in a few taps. Now the users who listen new songs daily are facing a problem, that there is no pre-cache option as told in the tutorial, well there are 2 main reasons behind it, first one is that you have already listened the song, so it is already cached and second one is that your cache memory is full.
In the first case, there is no need to do anything as the song is cached already, but in the 2nd case, you have to follow some steps to increase the cache size, so that Vi Music can pre-cache more songs, and you can listen to them offline.
Steps to Increase Cache Size in ViMusic
To increase the pre-cache or cached songs memory size or the song cover images cache size, follow the steps below –
- Tap on the settings option that is located above the “Quick Picks” option.
- Now, after opening settings, the first tab is Appearance, which gives you the option to change the look of Vi Music. You have to click on the “Cache” option, which is on the 3rd tab.
- Now, in the Cache tab, there are mainly two settings, one for Image Cache and the other for the Song cache, and below each of them there is an option of Max Size, tap on that and choose the preferred size that you want to allocate to the cache of songs and their cover imgaes.

Currently, Vi Music supports 2GB max for image cache, and for song cache, it supports unlimited, which means it can cache the songs up to your phone’s memory.
Final Notes
I hope this guide helped you fix the error of no cache option. I suggest you choose unlimited size in the song cache option for better caching and without any limitation. And for image cache, you should select the highest available option, which is 2 GB.
